FOUNDRY DIVISION
Quality Organization
The foundry division has one Quality Department managing the following activities for both Dongo and Spoleto production sites:
- QUALITY ASSURANCE
- QUALITY CONTROL
IFFA QUALITY SYSTEM HAS BEEN STRUCTURED AS
QS-9000 (October 1997) AUTOMOTIVE STANDARDS
AND UPDATED IN CONFORMITY WITH
ISO TS 16949:2002 (February 2005)
QUALITY SYSTEM IS STRUCTURATED TO THE METHOLOGIES:
- APQP "ADVANCED PRODUCT QUALITY PLANNING AND CONTROL PLAN" STARTING TO FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS
- PFMEA "POTENTIAL FAILURE MODE AND EFFECTS ANALYSIS" STARTING TO PROCESS PLANNING
- MSA "MEASUREMENT SYSTEM ANALYSIS" STARTING TO QUALIFICATION
- SPC "STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL" STARTING TO QUALIFICATION
- PPAP "PRODUCT PART APPROVAL PROCESS" STARTING TO PYLOT PRODUCTION
|
The Quality Control Approach is based on APQP methodology used to define the Control Plan (process and product control) based on FMEA analysis. |
|
To maintain the process under control we manage all the critical process parameter and functional customer specs with a SPC techniques. |
| For every SOP of new products we define, accordly with the customer requirements, a Reinforced Control Plan applied in each phases of our process. Normally the Reinforced Control Plan is used for the first six months of production rump up (Pre-launch). |
|
The Control Plans cover three distinct phases:
|
|
|
|
Example of SPC application: combustion chamber deepness (customer functional characteristic) |
